Description
These logs are split to 50 cm, ideal for fireplaces and inserts.
Remember that to dry your wood properly, you need to store it in a dry, ventilated place protected from damp.
The ideal is a lean-to shelter (open at the front, closed at the sides and top): air flows well between the logs and rain cannot get in.
This wood is perfect for large open or closed hearths.
How to pollute less?
Lighting the fire from the top :
Stack the logs with the largest at the bottom, leaving a little space between each one, then place the kindling on top. The combustion gases are burnt off in the flames.
Adding more wood :
As soon as there are no more flames and the embers are still glowing brightly, without leaving the door open too long.
The flue :
It must be in good condition. A good draught is important for good combustion.
Chimney sweeping :
The chimney must be swept twice a year, including once during the heating season.
