Wood pellets with a high calorific value
Economical: wood pellets are extremely dense and can be produced with a low moisture content (below 10%), which lets them burn with very high combustion efficiency. Their high density also allows compact storage and sensible transport over long distances. Electricity generated from pellets in converted coal plants costs almost the same as electricity from natural gas or diesel.
Eco-friendly: wood pellets are a sustainable fuel that can significantly reduce net carbon emissions compared with fossil fuels. Their production and use also bring additional environmental and social benefits.
