Belgian firewood
Firewood on a pallet
Our firewood pallets are made exclusively of broadleaf hardwoods (ash and beech). We only sell ready-to-burn wood with a moisture content below 20%. The advantage of firewood on a pallet is its clean, tidy packaging that is easy to store.
Storage tips for firewood
It is always best to store your firewood in an airy place protected from damp.
Local wood
This is Belgian wood: we prefer to work with wood from Belgium rather than wood from Eastern Europe.
We deliver your firewood by truck with a small forklift that can cross lawns and gravel and even take the wood straight into your garage where possible.
So we do everything we can to spare you tedious stacking.
Above all, dry firewood
Drying is the most important criterion for good combustion: water in firewood absorbs a great deal of energy when burning, so less heat is given off.
Our firewood contains less than 20% moisture for efficient combustion.
One stere of firewood = 1 m³ of firewood? NO
The traditional unit for firewood is the stere.
Do not confuse steres and m³: 1 stere = 1 m³ when the wood is cut into 1-metre logs. The shorter the wood is cut, the more volume it loses (so fewer m³), but the number of steres stays the same.
Conversion:
– Logs cut to 30–33 cm: 2.1 m³ = 3 steres
– Logs cut to 50 cm: 2.1 m³ = 2.4 steres
