Description
2 m³ pallet, i.e. approx. 3 steres of wood, logs split to 45 cm, wood mix (ash, beech and hornbeam), naturally dried.
Firewood – 45 cm – wood mix (2 m³)
This pallet of wood, about 2 metres high, is easy to store (subject to access) and guarantees you get the number of steres ordered.
The pallet contains several wood species. Ideal for a good balance between embers and lively flames.
The wood is neatly split into 45 cm logs, the ideal size for a fireplace or an insert.
Heavy or light woods?
Light woods are easy to light but burn far too quickly (poplar, maple, lime, alder…)
Heavy woods are harder to light but have a high calorific value and burn slowly.
Avoid burning softwood in your wood stove: it clogs your heating system, produces a lot of smoke and spits during burning (open fire).
Avoid burning woods that crackle and pop, such as chestnut and plane, as they throw out embers – above all, do not use them in open fires.
Also avoid woods that clog, such as softwoods and wood that is too damp, as they make too much smoke and leave resin in the flue.
