Ardenforest wood pellets are DIN Plus certified and made in Champagne-Ardenne from a mix of softwood and hardwood, with a high calorific value.
These pellets are of good quality and suit all pellet heating systems perfectly, such as stoves, inserts and boilers. 100% softwood is not a must – go ahead and try the wood mix. It will not clog your heater but will give you a steady heat and a quick rise in temperature. And yes, you can heat with a pellet that is not 100% softwood!
Mixing hardwood with softwood creates a natural glue in the pellets so that they do not break during compression and on their way to the feed screw. The origin of the wood matters a lot for the environment: the closer to home your pellet is made, the less CO₂. A good pellet has a moisture content < 10%, ash content < 0.7%, dust content 4.6 kWh/kg.
